And, to close the San Miguel Mas i Mas Festival 2014, we’re not only inviting a good friend and great DJ, we also want to close the cycle and square the circle. We started with Talabot, representing the present of techno from this country looking to the future of techno, but Zero is the past who is still very much alive and active in the present. Without having achieved the public status of other DJs and producers, Zero is a leading techno figure in the city. An educator and inspirer of several generations (we are sure Talabot himself also reveres him), techno Barcelona would not be the same without him. He is such an essential figure that we are sure Tokyo, Cologne or Glasgow, for example, must each have their own Zero. But we wouldn’t swap the one we have here for any other.
