PHILIPP GORBACHEV LIVE ♥

Son of a champion race-car driver, Russian born artist and performer, Phillip Gorbachev, has come forward to take pole position as the headliner of our FUN warehouse party!
Also a member of the Cómeme family, a collective of music men all known for some of the most forward thinking dance music on the planet, his unique techniques have all been tried and developed with Matias Aguayo in the label's District Union Studio (Berlin) and then transformed in a totally wild and unpredictable live show - that we cannot wait to dance to in our equally wild and non-conformist warehouse space!
Rocking out in to-die-for (red and orange!) modified workers overalls, Gorbachev combines his mixing skills with live instruments, such as drums and pads, FX, keyboards and of course his voice that he'll alienate with a bunch of technical tools!
His recent Boiler Room set and his debut "Silver Album" (Cómeme) have added to Phillip Gorbachev’s reputation as one of the most original artists around!!!

Emerging from the unfathomable part of the Earth, Marc Jarvin found his groove when most of his mates were cutting hose from the neighbours. He draws on influences from Berlin, Ibiza & Sydney and all places once made abode. Fingering anything from Psychedelic Gabba to Depression House, Marc has shifted through everything that modern contemporary dance music has to offer. After receiving a spiritual sign from what was believed to be a Shaman he has developed a much more serious stance in his not-so-serious approach to music. Playing alongside artists such as Maya Jane Coles, Guy Gerber & Sven Vath in this year alone, 2014 is on the rise for this colourful freak!

Between hosting some of the city's most incredible parties under the Picnic banner and spinning at just about every quality joint in town, Kali is an inevitable cause of dancing feet and grinning faces. To get an idea of the kind of company she keeps, just take a look at the tours she’s organised with stone cold legends like DJ Harvey and Andrew Weatherall and the parties she’s thrown with the likes of Pachanga Boys, Mano Le Tough, KiNK, and countless others. When the promoter hat comes off and the headphones come on, it's nothing but world-class performances behind the decks of places like Sydney Festival, The Spice Cellar, The Abercrombie Hotel, Mad Racket, 4our and a smorgasbord of Sydney's top bars and night spots. To top it all off, she can now claim the status of Boiler Room alumni!

This fledgling selector is the most recent inductee into the family at Picnic Touring and Events. Following broadcasting stints at Melbourne’s SYN FM and The University of Sydney, Adi is now surfing the airwaves in the coveted Saturday Sunset slot at independent music haven FBi Radio. Armed with a backpack of house music rich in deep grooves and unique percussion, she knows how to get heads bobbing and feet tapping both on- and off-air.

100% good vibes when this bundle of Yum is handling the music. She’s a firm friend of Picnic for both her lush house and disco tunes, and her incredible personality! On the party front, you’ve probably caught her throwing down at Heaps Gay, Slow Blow, Vanilla Nites, Laruche (Brisbane) or one of our own Picnic shindigs around town. Val’s been selected to select at the most fashionable of fashion events, including Louis Vuitton, Dion Lee, Veronika Maine, Alice McCall, Tuchuzy and Topshop. She’s also a regular pick for gigs at tasty bars like Icebergs, Freda’s and loads more – for good reason!
