And what better time on the cusp of the new MACHINE LABEL release from GROUND LOOP - noeA EP [MACH018] out on August 11. Consider this the release party. And we’d say this release deserves a party, but judge for yourself.
MACHINE x GYNOID a celebration of two Australian techno labels, one in Sydney, the other Melbourne born and bred. Both brimming with stellar artists enjoying success on the world stage. Showcase time:
GROUNDLOOP v ADVANCED HUMAN, multi media mix up. Ground loop is A&R manager for Gynoid Audio, and whilst he is currently scoring on multiple fronts, the label manager and super heavy weight, Advanced Human continues his relentless output as producer and dj; both are continuing to forge a path across multiple imprints, casting their collective prowess across the world.
ENCLAVE : LIVE with his recent Grindland EP out on Machine Label and an array of remixes on same, and his The Eyes EP out on Gynoid, plus multiple releases on sister label Elektrax, Enclave is the perfect addition to this already compelling line up. Melbourne based, his presence often felt through the rank and file of local talent and events. A real deal producer, whose life’s work is dedicated to techno, willing to wear heart on sleeve in the drilling down into his art. If you haven’t heard the Grindland EP, school up before this event, it demands listening.
Rounding out the night are ANDREW TILL and SIMON SLIEKER chiming in with dj performances representing MACHINE CLUB and LABEL expect fresh new releases and purposeful and relentless focus on composition. You know who they are.
MACHINE x GYNOID is arguably techno showcase of the year. GROUND LOOP alone has already had social media buzzing as to his appearance. This celebrated Melbourne producer is seldom seen on the stage, and we’ve already had to jump up to clarify that his is a dj performance, as the response to a rumoured live set was overwhelming. In the wake of that announcement, we are all standing by, just as excited to hear what’s in store in his versus dj capacity with Advanced Human. Aaaah, can’t quite bear it.
