Check this out! Junktion seems to be going from strength to strength this year. After welcoming the Breakfish boys with a bang last month, Junktion is now geared up to take you on a funk fuelled odyssey with Nick Sneddon, Jon Lisle, Ashley Casselle, Danny McMillan, SuperstyleDeluxe and Slyde as well as our usual mischievous resident suspects. Sneddon, Lisle and Caselle fly into Junktion upon the wings of praise and respect from the likes of Sasha, Digweed and Lawler. Whilst predominately a man of house, Sneddon also draws inspiration from the likes of the Stanton Warriors and Plump DJs, and is co-founder and resident of club night ‘Resonance’. Earlier this year, Lisle released his first commercial mix for Bedrocks Original Series, O:S_2 and this year sees him embark on a thirty five date tour including a stopover at our very own Junktion and together with our new resident, Ashley Caselle, the three are going to blow the roof off the house!
Junktion is also very pleased to welcome one of break beat’s elite Danny McMillan to Junktion for the first time. With a busy schedule and UK tour lined up for 2005, including gigs at the Glade Festival and Fabric as well as the release of a classic new tune under the name of Uptown Connection and a compilation and artist debut album on its way (gosh does he sleep?!), McMillan will be blazing a path that will leave us trying to catch up and if you’re itching for some scratching check out SuperstyleDeluxe along with more shuffling beats and Fingerlickin’ funky bass line from Slyde. Ecler (suppliers of DJ mixing tools) will also be coming to the party and giving away t-shirts, slip mats and record bags for those on the guest list.
