- After last Cartuli’s Day at Basing House, we are happy to announce the next party here. Joel Alter (Bassculture, Kontra-Musik) https://soundcloud.com/joel-alter From Gothenburg, Sweden, Joel Alter has his roots in the city's vibrant music scene of the late 80's and early 90's. His first international appearance was on DJ Hell's Gigolo Records in 2005 under the name Jor-el, followed by a release on M-nus. But it's rather the releases on French label Bass Culture and Berlin's Sweatshop that have given him the attention he enjoys today. Joel Alter's style is diverse but is described best as a subtle mix of techno and house. In 2011 Joel and follow Swede and friend Henrik Jonsson formed the duo Jonsson & Alter. Their first album 'Mod' was considered by many to be one of last year's best house albums.
