We are back and oh have we got an exciting one in store for you! Polish those dancing shoes as we bring you the ultimate in tech heaven for your little ears, all wrapped up the quintessential Whomp excellence that you have come to know and love.
We are ever so proud to announce our headliner, the supremely sexy, techno temptress, Jadele! Along with the best known players in Bristol who will be smashing out bangers til 5am.
Jadele aka Adele Shields, dj, vocalist and producer has been cutting swathes globally in the last 2 years expressing her tech, deep house and techno. As Songwriter, Vocalist and Producer, her tracks have caught the attention of major labels Circle Music Germany working alongside Alex Flatner (Get Physical, Poker Flat), Alola Records with Omid 16B (Bedrock Records, Sexonwax) and Celestial Recordings. Completing a trio of worldwide tours during the past two years, Jadele’s hypnotically infectious sound has elevated her to the height of the current UK house scene, as well as raised her standing amongst international punters and promoters alike. From long-haul tours in India hitting up cities from Mumbai and Bangalore to Hyderabad and Goa, Jadele’s DJ diary has also seen her play at notorious techno club BKI in Hamburg, entertain the techno honchos at world superclub WOMB in Japan, headline underground Circus in Osaka, light up secluded beach clubs in Thailand and as well as DJ at the Thai festival called Jungle Experience and feature at two of Bangkok's uber night life spots at Glow and Bash. Alongside this she has DJ'd in Paris, Ibiza, Dublin, Verona, Bahrain and become a firm favourite amongst crowds at clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Egg, XOYO, Cargo, Cafe 1001, Spotlight in Birmingham and Underdog in Manchester. Since we first heard one of her sets we have been so excited to have her along, and will be totally worth the wait!!
Bacchus - We are so pleased to have these guys back!! When they played with us last we were lucky to have hosted one of the first few nights they had played as their new collective and my word were we impressed!! Since then these boys need no introduction playing at some of Bristol's biggest nights attracting the attention of all on the scene. Plus if you have heard any of there tracks, you will know that these boys know how to get a room moving, and to top it off they are a bloody lovely bunch too :) Catch them tearing off the roof of the tunnel room!
Clean Cut Collective - Well what can we say?? if you haven't heard of these guys you must be living as some kind of hermit.. in a cave... under a rock... which is buried. CCC have been rinsing Bristol over the past few months and have gone from strength to strength. So proud to have these guys finally popping their Whomp cherry. The sets these guys have played recently have really put them on the map in Bristol and the tracks these guys are creating, we will be seeing and hearing more and more of over the next 12 months.
Si Macc -Yes we have our old favourite back once again. Si has been with us since the beginning and is finally back once again to deliver an outstanding set as always. We are so happy he is playing for us after a few months off, welcome home dude! His super cool belters will be finishing you off nicely in the Cage room.
Whomp Mix Competition Winners!! -
First up Darren C, who has had a break from playing the circuits to concentrate on producing, is back with one hell of a Whomp! He was a clear winner of our mix night, really getting that Whomp sound. Signed to a plethora of big names most recently signing a 3 track EP to Transmit Recordings, with some big things to come. This guys is seriously one to look out for and we are very excited that Darren will be opening up for us in the tunnel room.
Secondly, our next winner is L'amore. Signed to Nightcap records and has been tearing the roof off many places in Bristol including Motion! Producer and DJ this guy's grooves will surely be getting the night off to the right start in the cage and one we are very much looking forward to seeing. We have heard some big noises about this chap and sure he will bring the noise!
Whomp Residents - Of course we will be bringing you lovely lot all that Whomp has to offer, delectable tech, a beautiful atmosphere and some bloody good vibes. Whomp has always been known for its house party feel, an intimate party with friends. No dick heads allowed.. ;) We are quite proud of the comments we have had from previous nights and work hard to keep them going so if you love your music and can bring that party feel, we cant wait to see you.
This is going to be one hell of a night so see all your beautiful faces on the floor
