As a member of the legendary 3 Chairs (alongside Kenny Dixon Jr., Theo Parrish, and Marcellus Pittman), Rick “The Godson” Wilhite is amongst Motor City’s finest house musicians and purveyors. Playing an infectious blend of gospel-driven house and pure, analog techno, Wilhite has toured the world for nearly twenty years, lighting up dance floors from Japan to Croatia. Though now closed, his record store Vibes New & Rare was recognized as one of the country’s great collections of soulful dance music. Legendary DJ, storied musician, man of unforgettable charisma and soul. "The Godson" indeed.
Kai Alce (NDATL Muzik, FXHE Records, Mahogani Music, Kolour LTD)
New York, Detroit, Atlanta: Kai Alce and his music belong to all three. From his curation of the long-running and still-excellent Deep Detroit to his masterful productions for his NDATL record label, Kai Alce has made a career out of uniting the many facets of American house. Prepare for a mix of new and old, familiar and unknown, but always, always emotive and beautiful dance music.
