Vapore #1 presents Terre Thaemlitz

- The award-winning multimedia producer Terre Thaemlitz will be the first contributor to Vapore series, taking place at O’, between 15th and 20th September 2014: her new electroacoustic audio piece “Terre Thaemlitz kindly asks you not to upload her releases” will be reproduced in 150 private sessions (by reservation only) in Milan before being destroyed. For Vapore, three Western artists currently living in Japan, have been commissioned to realize an original sound-piece, of approximate lenght of both sides of a 7” record played at 45 rpm, conceived to be listened by only one person at the time in a exclusive listening space at O’ in Milan. At the end of the 150 reproductions each of the three audio pieces will be erased and will not be available on digital nor hard copy formats. Next two artists appointments will be held at O’ in October and December. Vapore is curated by Francesco Tenaglia. Reservations will be accepted from 5th to 11th September. Although Vapore does not have a fixed entry-fee a donation is suggested for each reproduction. O’ (via Pastrengo 12, 20159, Milano) is a not for profit organization that promotes different art languages through exhibitions, lectures, concerts, laboratories, performances and editions.
