Addison Groove (50WEAPONS/SWAMP81/U.K.)
Addison Groove (aka Antony Williams) started life under a different pseudonym altogether. Recording as Headhunter, with an LP and 12" releases on the influential Tempa label stretching back to 2007, he achieved legendary status within the dubstep scene. His work at the deeper end of the spectrum graced the label an impressive 7 times, a figure matched only by Skream. This work looked set to continue until 2010 when, seemingly out of nowhere, he crafted one of the biggest bass music tracks of the decade, "Footcrab", under the new name of Addison Groove.
Progressing at a breakneck speed, he was quick to develop a live 808 show which has graced some of the finest nightclubs in the world including Fabric, London and Berlin's infamous Berghain. With his hectic touring schedule including USA, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and numerous dates in Europe, he continues to bring his hybrid sound to captivated audiences across the globe.
Ryan Wells (BASS COAST/ PAGODA 2014/ VANCOUVER)
Over the last four years, Ryan Wells has cemented his reputation as one of Western Canada's most exciting and enthusiastic young djs/producers. After establishing a name for himself in Nelson BC and across the Kootenay region, he has carried momentum to Vancouver quickly becoming a go-to choice for prime time slots at some of BC's most successful festivals such as Shambhala and Bass Coast.
Combining house, techno and bass music with expertise, Ryan's live sets are wholeheartedly focused on creating an uplifting and infectious dancefloor vibe, which is why 2013 saw him share the stage with some of the world's best, including Lee Foss, Hot Since 82 and Justin Martin. Moving forward with the same high energy in the studio, recent releases include a remix of Humans "De Ciel" on Hybridity music, a collaboration with Calgary's Wax Romeo entitled "Roped" on Shambhala Digital, and the seductive floor-filler "Dimes” which came out on French label B Yrslf Division, catching praise and airtime on B Traits' BBC Radio 1 show.
