  • Co-presented with SPOOK MAGAZINE MMW and progressive culture bible SPOOK Magazine partner to present an evening of Australian music featuring GUERRE, Banoffee, Milwaukee Banks and supports. Start the week with a combination of Balearic beats, contemporary RnB and honey-rich, down-tempo hip-hop. Toronto-born, Sydney-based producer Lavurn Lee is a hard man to define. Across three distinct projects, Guerre, Black Vanilla and Cassius Select, the prodigious producer mixes ambient RnB, techno and atmospheric beats. His solo venture Guerre embraces an instinctual sound and captivates audiences with deep electronic grooves. Banoffee is the sweet solo sound of Melburnian Martha Brown; a songwriter with a keen eye for vintage synthesisers and a plan to reclaim the late 1990s and early 00s one urban alt-pop track at a time. Minimal and raw, Banoffee's recipe of new wave RnB, meshed with gliding synths, syncopated beats and textured vocals, makes for a musical staple with new-found attitude. Milwaukee Banks is the ingenious coming-together of Melbourne-based producer Edo and wordsmith Dyl Thomas. They are Australia's answer to the newest school of rap movement, where projects are influenced as much by electronic and minimal production as they are by the cloud rap aesthetic, dreamy synths and southern hip-hop drums.
