We believe that the pure club experience is about freedom of personal expression, both in the booth and on the floor. Hugo Ball dancers are not image driven consumers of life-style, but kinetic artists and joyous servants to the mother beat! We believe that dance music like all art is political. Hugo Ball gives shelter from the corrupt priorities of the masses where the enlightened are free to revel - all are welcome, we are not a boutique culture! Chicago is home to some of the world’s finest unassisted vinyl djs, edit maestros and machine musicians. We believe that dance music is Chicago's roots music and that it is our duty to shine a light on the culture. Hugo Ball cares not for the carpetbaggers, sanitizers and cultural dilettantes!
