Guti is a classically trained jazz musician who spent years touring arenas and festivals around the world with one of Argentina’s most well-known rock bands, playing keyboards and piano. His emotive house records, however, are what caught the underground house and techno world by storm when he debuted in 2008; records that double as forays into progressive jazz with hypnotic grooves perfect for dancing. In an industry where most live sets are 60 - 90 minutes, Guti improvises for hours on end. He is joined by Evan Baggs from Berlin.
Evan Baggs, former Zoo Project Ibiza resident who has relocated to Berlin, has had a big year. He spent the summer playing Zoo Project Ibiza numerous times, in addition to their festival in the UK; Club der Visionaere; Panorama Bar; plus the buzzed-about Return party at Renate this past December with Ricardo Villalobos.
Come celebrate everyone’s favorite holiday with the DC dance family before facing your biological family the next day at the Thanksgiving meal.

GUTI:
A classically-trained jazz virtuoso and national rock ‘n’ roll hero in Argentina, Guti’s double 12” pack for Desolat will leave you in no doubt of his ability to twist a snaking groove into something echoingly hypnotic. The tracks contained here are already a favourite in the record boxes of artists like Loco Dice, Seth Troxler and Marco Carola, while Guti’s life story could itself be the subject of a story by Jorge Luis Borges: “I leave to several futures (not to all) my garden of forking paths.”
Guti loves adventures — the spark of discovery seems to be a driving force for him. In 2009 he bounced between Berlin, Athens and Paris, making tracks as he went. Although he plans to move to Düsseldorf in 2010 to hunker down in the studio to concentrate on the Guti techno and house project, it’s unlikely he’ll leave behind the spirit of the Latin America he knows. “I love Buenos Aires. It’s a huge city… a huge jungle. Really fast, really crazy, dirty, messy. But really creative: amazing musicians. That happens with all the poor countries. We don’t have money, so we play music. We write books.”
EVAN BAGGS:
This born and bred New Yorker has gained a reputation through his sheer passion, clever track selections and precise mixing. Through word of mouth – and years before his first releases - he has been invited to DJ for crowds all over the world from Brazil to China and many places in between. His DJ sets are as exciting and diverse as his home town and have gained him compliments from many international DJ’s and producers, who recognize him as a legitimate up-and-coming talent.
