- This New Year's Day, New Guernica are proud to welcome back one of the true legends of dance music: Chicago's Derrick Carter! Earlier this year Derrick treated us to a sold out 'Derrick Does Disco' set; a truly unforgettable night with the man taking a slight turn from the 'boompty' sound we know and love to focus on a retrospect of his disco origins. This time around New Guernica can't wait to welcome back the house master to our new and improved dance floor next year. For this special occasion we will be opening from 6pm on New Years Day. DJs will feature in Chuckle Park from 6pm till 1am offering a dining option till late. New Guernica's doors will open from 9pm and the master, Derrick Carter, will play from approximately 1am. Early Bird, Second Round and General Admission tickets will be available starting from $55 per ticket. Drink package tickets will also be available offering 2 different options, one with a complimentary bottle of bubbles on arrival, the other an unlimited house drinks package from 6pm-Midnight. Derrick will be supported by a well rounded selection of Melbourne's best DJs to be announced in the coming week. Melbourne will be hard-pressed to find a more exciting way to kick off the new year and we look forward to presenting this very special, intimate New Years Day performance from one of the best and most enduring DJs on the planet.
