Once again, we’re back with this month’s <b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/wormup"target="_blank">wOrmUp</a></b>. This time we’re joined by two very special guests:
<b><i>Pete Lazonby & Sophie Oliver.</i></b>
We’re pleased to welcome back Mr <b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/petelazonby"target="_blank">PETE LAZONBY</a></b> after the success of his fantastic set at our after party for last year’s TDK. His smash hit ‘SACRED CYCLES’ in the mid 90’s was featured on the first ever Fabriclive CD, as well as countless compilations and remix releases since. After enjoying a hiatus in the New Orleans French Quarter, he has returned to Europe showing a much funkier and sassier edge to his production, with releases coming out on KLANG ELEKTRONIK (IT MUST MEAN SOMETHING/ THE EXPERT 2007) and PLAYHOUSE (BOB/ I MISS U 2007). ‘I Miss You’ was featured on last year’s installment of Playhouse’s ‘Famous when Dead’ compilation series.
Pete will be playing us a LIVE SET on Sunday, and you won’t want to miss it!
<b><a href="http://www.djsophieoliver.com/"target="_blank">SOPHIE OLIVER</a></b> needs no introduction. Easily one of the most exciting DJs to grace the scene in recent years, she consistently manages to work up a storm on dance floors across Europe and the world. She has worked with established artists such as Wolfgang Flur from Kraftwerk, Arthur Baker, Switch, Mr C, and Rob Mello as well as with recent favorites Williamz (Get Physical) and Sian (Pokerflat) to name but a few. Sophie has upcoming releases on Audiofly's record label SUPERNATURE. Describing her style as underground electronic house fused with techno, distinctly laced with melodic bass lines and deep techy tones, we can only look forward to what she has to offer us at <b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/wormup"target="_blank">wOrmUp</a></b>.
With a fantastic new release under the collaboration name of <b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/beleejean"target="_blank">BeLeeJean</a></b> coming up on the established Chicago label SITEHOLDER UNCUT RECORDS (alongside the likes of Billy Delassadro and Jason Emsley),
<b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/djdaviddelgado"target="_blank">DAVID DELGADO</a></b> and <b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/maikyells"target="_blank">MAIK YELLS</a></b> are a force to be reckoned with of late. With recent appearances all around London, they have been rocking the usual suspects of the clubbing scene with their signature sound of funky bass driven techno. Consistently high quality performance from these two guarantees a good time at this month’s <b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/wormup"target="_blank">wOrmUp</a></b>.
We look forward to hearing <b><a href="http://www.myspace.com/stereolads"target="_blank">JOSE ORTEGA</a>’s</b> debut at wOrmUp. Jose shows a really fresh new sound, and is fast establishing himself in the London party scene.
