SPOOR is a new series of parties aimed at Ottawa’s audacious and venturesome party-goers. On the program: some of the finest DJs & producers from the scenes of Techno, House, Acid and more. Discover beats from the deepest ends of the globe, digging through the undergrounds from Paris, Berlin, Vienna all the way to Istanbul. All while paying tribute to the early monumental movements of Chicago & Detroit. Making this a night for the party adventurers who like to party just that little bit harder, and go that little bit deeper.
We are humbled to be hosting the first installment of SPOOR on December 18th at Babylon Nightclub. It features a program that explores the intersection of sound, light and video projection.
Bringing it all together will be a live set by Adam Saikaley & Gary Franks (Ceremony), Mathieu Thibault (FauMardi Collective) and WOERKS (Tadellos, Berlin; The Deep End), as well as video projections by Sasha Vreca (FauMardi Collective).

Mathieu Thibault is a fast emerging local selector. Rising from the belly of Old Hull, Math plays a major role on the French side as one of the core members of the FAU Mardi Collective and Resident DJ. Dropping beats from underground to upper ground this is one young Dj you want to keep on your radar.
Adam Saikaley & Gary Franks
Two of the three founding members of the legendary Ceremony parties and DJ Group, Saikaley & Franks are a force not to be reckoned with. These two multidisciplinary musicians and DJs have been contributing to the cultural fiber of Ottawa for over a decade and continue to throw down as hard as ever. Expect a live performance of bizarre analogue techno by the duo.
Woerks (The Deep End, Tadellos | Berlin)

Woerks (Elena Bales) is an Ottawa based DJ/Producer who along with fellow DJ and friend David Mayer (DJ M) is responsible for the monthly party called The Deep End, which features deep, dark and twisted UK and German influenced house and techno.
Formerly based in Berlin and Magdeburg, Germany, playing as part of the German-Canadian dj duo Tadellos, Elena draws from her European digs with a slow, deep, dark and bass laden sound that is heavy yet playful.
Sasha Vreca

This visual artist, filmmaker and animator has been an active player in the Ottawa/Gatineau night scene in the latest years. As one of the oldest standing members of the Fau Mardi Collective, Sasha has played a number of notable venues and spaced from Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. His work and practice focuses on the merger of audio visual components and computer generated graphics with original 16mm film footage. On the evening of SPOOR, Sasha will be mapping the stage with an eclectic array of visuals using minimal analogue video signal permutations and found footage.
