Monarch NYE 2015 with Click Click, The Lovemakers and Many More

  • Click Click Christoph aka Click | Click was born in the south of Germany. The first time he listened to Kraftwerk - Roboter was already at the age of four and he got very enthusiastic about this kind of music. ... his passion for electronic music was born! At the age of 15 he played guitar in his first band, Senseless Noise (one guy named that kind of music: "Psychodelic Mafia Rock"). After his 'career' with his band he began playing out records. In September 2002 he moved to Berlin to be a part of this fascinating city. One year later he started his studies 'Bachelor of Recording Arts' in Berlin. During that time he set out to produce music and founded with Kicky Joe and Johlton N. the Ueberbabes. One year later Johlton (bass guitar) left and Bzoo (visuals) joined the project. To focus on their other projects, they quit the Ueberbabes after the last gig in 2008. Since 2006 Christoph is producing his own funky, minimal Disco/ House/ Techno tracks, doing remixes, performing live-sets and playing out records under the name Click | Click. After meeting Ferri aka M_Ferri in July 2006 both marked the start of the (minimal) Techno label Kassette Records which features acts like Channel X, Click Box, Glocal, Lunatik, Mikdat vs. Afrilounge, Tarifbereich_B, Randoman, Phage & Daniel Dreier, Sweet´n´Candy, Microbodies, Dustin Zahn, Skoozbot, Jimmy Edgar and others. Since 2008 he releases together with Niko Schwind as Tarifbereich_B and in 2010 he teamed up with M_Ferri to produce/ release their first ep under the name Kassette Boys. At the end of 2012 Click | Click started his second label 'Palms & Flamingos'. With this label he focuses on quality ecletronic music - Disco and funky Deep/ Slow/ Jackin' House with a whiff pop appeal. https://soundcloud.com/clickclick The Lovemakers The Lovemakers is an electropop/new wave band from Oakland, California.[1] The band was formed in the spring of 2002 by Scott Blonde (guitar, vocals) and Lisa Light (vocals, bass) who are the two core members. Light and Blonde met in 2002 via Blonde's manager, who Light was dating at the time.[2] Shortly afterward Light left her boyfriend, and she began dating Blonde and joined his band Applesaucer.[2] They were forced out of the band, reportedly for making out during practice.[3] Afterward they formed their own band naming themselves The Lovemakers after the Japanese sexploitation film The Weird Lovemakers.[4] They joined with Jason Proctor on keyboards to form the initial lineup.[5] The Lovemakers released a self-titled record in 2003. A second record, Times of Romance, was released on August 23, 2005 on Interscope Records new imprint Cherrytree. A single, "Prepare for the Fight", was put out in advance of the album's release date. The album also features Josh Freese on drums. In 2006, Proctor departed to return to his day job as a computer programmer full time.[3] In 2007, The Lovemakers signed to Fuzz, a fledgling San Francisco record label, who released their third album Misery Loves Company on July 24, 2007. The album is an enhanced EP featuring 5 songs and 5 corresponding high-quality music videos. A single, "Whine & Dine", was put out in advance of the release date. For Misery Loves Company and the subsequent touring the band featured Brandon Arnovick on keyboards and Kenneth Hard on drums. At some point Arnovick and Hard departed, and Hard was replaced by Michael Urbano on drums. Urbano recorded drums on all except for one track on Let's Be Friends, but did not play live with the band after that time. On its tour in support of the album, the band featured Cary LaScala on drums and Gareth Lloyd on synthesizer for live performances.[dated info] In 2008, The Lovemakers began a production deal with independent music company Talking House Productions (San Francisco) and recorded its fourth album. Talking House Records released the album Let's Be Friends in September 2009 under The Lovemakers' own mark, and the band followed the release with a supporting tour.[6] The label released an advance single called "See What I Wanna See" on August 11, 2009, which was featured by iTunes on its "WHAT'S HOT" list and its "NEW AND NOTEWORTHY" list.[7] Their second single off Let's Be Friends, "Love is Dead", was featured as a Single of Week on iTunes during the week of September 9, 2009. In December 2009, The Lovemakers announced they would play their last show on New Year's Eve in Oakland at Ghost Town Gallery. This site is near the location of their first performance 7 years earlier. The band was scheduled to perform a one-time-only reunion show on February 14, 2014 (Valentine's Day) at The Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco. http://www.thelovemakers.net/ DJ M3 DJ M3 aka Manny is a major influence in SF’s music scene. Their father is a musician and was the Director of Entertainment at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. They grew up around serious talent, even kicking it with the Rat Pack at early ages. They moved to California before they were in New Jersey long enough to develop accents and became best friends early on. As kids, they made up many dance routines to Ace of Base's "The Sign" album and religiously listened to TLC's "Crazy Sexy Cool", even dressing like the group one year for Halloween. Between their mother and father, sharing a nearly 20-year age difference, they were exposed to a broad range of musical tastes. In their adulthood, Laura moved to San Francisco and Ava to Orange County, and the sisters realized they weren't capable of being away from another. After Ava finished college, she promptly moved up the city so she and her sister could once again kill it on the regular.
