K-HAND is often referred to as the “First Lady of Detroit Techno,” and for good reason. Kelli Hand has been remained a true player in the Detroit techno scene for over twenty years, contributing to its birth while also experiencing the golden era of New York house. One of the first women to break into the male-dominated scene, Kelli’s ability to move seamlessly between house and techno on the dancefloor continues to impress audiences worldwide, to say little of her own timeless productions. Numerous releases on her own Acacia Records imprint, along with labels !K7, Tresor, Warp, and so many others, have cemented her status as a true ambassador of the Detroit sound: Soulful, Uncompromising, and Visionary. It’s no surprise that her music was featured by both Ben Klock and Ben UFO in their recent Fabric CD’s, and we’re beyond excited to host her San Francisco debut.
