Archie Hamilton is the London based DJ/producer forging his own distinguished sound.
He has released on much respected underground labels such as Fear of Flying, Tzinah, Moral Fiber and of course his own imprints, Moscow Records and Moss Co. Along the way he has gained strong support from the likes of Marco Carola, tINI and Robert Dietz amongst many others. An unconventional rhythm through a similacrum molds
Sepp, born and raised on the Romanian Black Sea Coast, had his first contact with the electronic music in 2005, when he endevaroued for the first time into the various styles of electronic music, listening and dancing to various artists from the Cocoon rooster. From that moment he became passionate about techno sounds and other various electronic genres.
Since 2007 he was topping the bill at the biggest events in the city ’till 2008, when he became the resident of the LaMania club. After 3 years of residence, he decided the time had come for learning the art of producing music and fashioning sounds to his own liking. His style could be named as minmal, reverbed and organic, though he retains a distinct steely and mechanical feel while he produces.
His base rhythms and grooves tend to loop endlessly and, at the same time distract the listener from the main theme, perpetuating a sort of offbeat rhythm through a similacrum of Romanian and Asian molds, which may be one of the reasons why he is so popular in Japan in clubs such as Metro (Kyoto), Seco Bar & Origami (Tokyo) and Fukuoka (Otonoha).
His tracks are regularly played by likes of Rhadoo ,Cezar , Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, Paul Agripa, Cristi Cons, Priku, Mihigh, Matei Tulbure (Tc Studio), Nu Zau, and many others.
After several releases on Te Iubesc, Rora, Bodyparts, Andromeda and the latest release on UVAR label titled Basorelief Postum. now his attention is turned toward some unfinished projects wich will be released through this year and the next, and next, and the next after that.
As his sound shapes towards a more preciese and independent form, we will surely hear more and more from this enigmatic and noteworthy artist which has seen the starlight in many other clubs throughout the continents of South America (Lima), New York (Half Baked, Sum Label and De la Funk), Conneticut (Salsa) ans Busselles (Iunsub).
