RA and Whatpeopleplay.com present 10 Years Wordandsound at Popkomm 2008
Starting from very small surroundings in autumn 1998 Hamburg based Wordandsound (Was) have certainly achieved a secure front row seat as one of the world's most important dance music distributors - earning numerous merits in terms of both quality and diversity.
Presented by Resident Advisor (RA) and Whatpeopleplay.com (Wordandsound’s brand new digital download store) their 10th anniversary, hosted on the first night of Popkomm, is reflecting the service with a rarely seen coming together of today’s finest house and techno acts for a celebration.
No less than 11 djs and live acts will play the Weekend clubs 3-floors that night. This includes local heroes Dixon and Ame (Innervisions), Stefan Goldmann (Macro), Don Williams & Sven Weisemann (Mojuba & Artless), Dapayk Solo (Mo´s Ferry), Dirt Crew, Sasse (Mood), Format B (Highgrade), Woody (Fumakilla), Oliver Koletzki (Stil vor Talent) as well as Hamburg's rising-star Solomun (Diynamic), legendary Canadian Deadbeat (Wagon Repair) and Frankfurt based deep house heroes Motorcitysoul for a night crossing all musical boundaries from the deepest of house to the minimalist of techno.
