It is time for another massive Objektivity label party with Dennis Ferrer, Andre Hommen and French man Phil Weeks all playing EGG Presents on April 10th.
Main man Dennis Ferrer is not only responsible for nurturing fresh faced talents like the Martinez Brothers, but also for overseeing the development of house music, period. His Objektivity label is a fine outlet for all types of house, whilst the man’s own legendary DJ sets and productions weave years in the game with an ever-evolving modern perspective. He is responsible for such classics as ‘Hey Hey’ so tonight is sure to be a true house celebration.
André Hommen rarely spends time at home these days with a calendar that is fully booked months in advance either as a solo DJ or as warm-up for Dennis Ferrer. Hommen's life script continues to build traction with house music at its centre. He is part of the administrative and creative team behind Dennis Ferrer's New York City based Objektivity imprint and has had the opportunity to develop projects by artists including Ferrer, Argy and The Martinez Brothers as well as releasing on the label himself.
DJ/producer Phil Weeks is a house music purist. His mixing is old school Chicago with a nu-school French flare going from the deepest house to the techiest. His production sounds like it could have been released in the 90’s partly because he uses the same gear: 808’s, 909’s, 606’s, even vintage keys. He prefers vinyl, likes his mixes dirty, and knows how to rock a crowd with a heavy-hitting bassline. Dedicated to bringing the world only proper house music with his Djing, his producing and his label, Robsoul Recordings.
