To Sacha Mambo, knowing music doesn’t mean specializing in one particular style, far from this! Whatever genre it may be, it’s always a great pleasure for him to hear a good new track, to find an unexpected record, to hold an old treasure in his hands, and to know there is always more to discover. Because the more you get to know about music, you realise that you actually don’t know so much…
Sacha is the founder of the Macadam Mambo label, a sound and talent finder, a party organiser, whose label has achieved a nice international reputation in the underground scene, thanks to quality releases.
Sacha is also a producer known as « MZKBX » [muzikbox]. Proud member of the Karat Records family, he has also released some EPs on Fluofluid, Skylax and Macadam Mambo.
His debut album « From This Desire » released on karat, is in stores since mid-march 2014. It is his vision of « House Music », and a tribute to his Acid, Dub, New Wave, New Beat, Techno influences.
The name MuZiKBoX is a reference to the “Chicagoan” origins of House Music , a tribute to Ron Hardy (the legendary resident of the Music Box), to Trax Records, Farley Jackmasterfunk, Master C&J or Larry Heard and to that golden era when the scene emerged from Disco, Synth Pop, and EBM… but there is a lot more to discover in this box.
