The system uses groundbreaking technology to generate a completely homogenous, three-dimensional and natural sound field across the entire listening area. This results in a highly immersive, compelling listening experience for listeners. Based on the idea of the Dutch physicist Christiaan Huygens stating that any wave front can be synthesized by a multitude of single point sources, an IOSONO audio system uses a multitude of single speakers to create any thinkable acoustical occurrence. This will be the first time the system is tested in a dance club after having garnered fantastic reviews in cinematic use across the U.S.
IOSONO provides DJs and VJs with a yet unknown, completely new creative potential to compose unheard before effects for their audience such as moving synthetic sound objects around, or adding realworld elements such as voices or instruments to the mix and place them wherever they want. An ultimate music and sound happening. Iosono is the newest technology from the workshops of MP3 co-founder Karlheinz Brandenburg and the beginning of the Popkomm trade show in Berlin, the system will remain installed for four weeks thereafter in Tresor Club. DJ's and live acts will have a free hand in using the system during that time. Artists such as Fidelity Kastrow (London), Heiko Laux (Berlin) and Stewart Walker (Berlin) have already experimented with the system and will be on hand for the gala demonstration.
IOSONO's installation launch and gala public premiere is on Thursday night, October 9th in Tresor Club, with workshops and presentations at the club during the day from Wednesday to Friday, October 8 -10.
Workshops and Opening - 08 - 10 October 2008:

A shuttle service is scheduled to bring workshop participants and those interested directly from the trade show to Tresor Club. Also after the Popkomm week Iosono will offer workshops by appointment.
