Although this event is spread over two different venues, the intention is one big long party; the music will be programmed to reflect this.
--OUTDOOR DAY--
We return to where we started 3 years ago – Fitzroy Barefoot Bowls Club. After constantly searching for outdoor party locations, we’ve realised this space is pretty dam perfect! Located in the heart of Fitzroy, surrounded by the trees of neighbouring Edinburgh Gardens and probably one of only a handful of places that music can be pumped outdoors in the inner suburbs, the event will be real intimate with space for only 200 bodies.
Funktion-One Australia will be kitting out the space for maximum clarity.
--INDOOR NIGHT--
A complete contrast to the daytime – the event continues at Lounge in the city. I’m sure most of us have been there before; if not, it’s a really solid late night venue with a good soundsystem and no limit on closing time, so we’ll keep going as long as your legs hold out - hopefully we make it through to sunrise ☺
Transfer between venues via 112 tram (approx. 15 mins into the city) from directly outside the Bowls Club.
INTERNATIONAL GUEST - JANE FITZ (Night Moves / Free Rotation)
A DJ, promoter and music journalist from Hackney, Jane has been engrained in the UK clubbing scene since the nineties, promoting real underground house music through a time when it was a long way from ‘in-vogue’. Leaving pretentiousness at the door, she has picked up a serious cult following in her hometown of London for churning out obscure, hypnotic dance music rarities.
Having yet to release any productions, Jane’s bookings have always been down to her DJing skills alone – an impressive feat in today’s producer-led line-ups. Resident selector at Bulgaria’s Meadows in the Mountains festival and the infamous Free Rotation festival, shows throughout Berlin, Belgrade, Bratislava, Detroit, New York and Chicago (over the last couple of years alone), as well as weekly appearances at Europe’s most respected underground parties and clubs such as Secretsundaze, DiY, Wiggle, Fabric, Watergate and Horst; not to mention her own seasonal party NIGHT MOVES – it’s safe to say she’s a busy lady.
Jane joins us at Yaldi Boomtime! for her first ever Melbourne show – it’s going to be a good day! Yaldi Boomtime DJs are also joined by local legendary wieners Inskwel, Ben Houghton LIVE and Demarco.
TICKETS are a bit more expensive than usual since there’s a lot going on and limited capacity, remember there’s only 200!
