Launching his new night Love Fever at Shoreditch’s East Village sees Andy Bird flying in NYC Legend Danny Krivit for a straight up disco session in this intimate Shoreditch basement space firmly starting to grow into itself as a destination venue.
A true vinyl junkie Danny is one of the very few people who can honestly say he’s consistently DJ’d in all the hottest clubs in New York for the past 35 years - from the Loft, Paradise Garage, Body & Soul to Studio 54 & The Warehouse.
A New York DJ veteran with an endless list of credentials, newly married Danny Krivit has been involved in his city's dance/club scene since childhood, and has had a profound impact upon it.
Joining Danny, Andy Bird & Stuart Patterson on the wheels of steel are the Higher Ground team of DJ AKA & Acid House maestro Trevor Fung with an early evening set of Balearic, Soul, Jazz and Afro Funk aimed squarely at the more discerning 21st century clubber.
Whilst in the upstairs bar Richio Suzuki and his merry bunch of men will be plying their Version Excursion trade with an exclusive evening of jazz, latin and funk cover versions. Expect breakers, ballers and vinyl bores galore and, of course, a full Japanese crew of dancers and debutantes in attendance.
And as a credit crunch concession tickets to this event will be only £8 in advance, and we really can’t say fairer than that!
