World Renowned DJ to Perform New Year’s Eve Gig in the U.S.
New York, NY (November 25, 2008) – Ring in the year 2009 in New York City with NYE09 – a party featuring Grammy nominated and world renowned electronic music pioneer and DJ, Tiësto with opening act, Alex Pearce. Presented by Area Event, this fierce, unprecedented party will take place at Roseland Ballroom beginning at 8pm on December 31st, 2008 until 4am on January 1st, 2009. Admission is open for the entire length of the event.
Tiësto, who spins to an average of over one million people each year, including New Year’s Eve parties all over the world, is bringing his 5-hour set to New York City for 2009. While the ball drops just blocks away from the Roseland Ballroom, the world’s biggest electronic music DJ will be pulling out all the stops for the biggest party of the year.
At past performances, the master DJ has had buzz artists like Tegan & Sara, Cary Brothers and José González as well as theatrical entertainment phenomena Blue Man Group perform live while he spins. This event marks the end of Tiësto’s In Search of Sunrise 7 – Asia world tour, which took the infamous DJ / producer from the O2 Arena in London to The Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival in the U.S. to a sold out residency in at Privilege, the most prestigious club in Ibiza.
This over the top production will include non-stop music and liquor service, a 2-hour open bar and multiple VIP sections with bottle service for the ultimate NYE experience.
