Movement Torino is the European version of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF), the most important dance music festival in the world, that has been held in Detroit on Memorial Day since 2000. Known today as Movement Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival, the DEMF has become a showcase for well-known international musicians and deejays who wish to communicate new developments in electronic music and culture.
The first European event of this kind, Movement Torino was created on 15 December 2006 by the cultural association Suoni e Colori together with Derrick May, techno music sponsor and founder of DEMF.
The third edition of Movement – Torino’s Dance Music Event 2008 is expected to attract ten thousand people and establish itself as the biggest contemporary music event in Europe.
