Emergence is back and I hope everyone is ready for what is shaping up to be one of our best gigs to date. We have a very special line-up for this event but more about that later.
Firstly we have moved to Basement Bar, one of Wellingtons iconic and historic Venue's which is a concrete underground club, perfect for Techno and insanity. This is going to be dark, industrial, and a euphoric event, and most definitely an assault on the senses, with Mr A's thumping Nexo system, strobing lights, and striped-back visuals from Kelly Kellective and Rayzordoll.
Spinning on the night we have one of the main driving forces of the Auckland House and Techno scene, who also publishes some very informative and interesting interviews on there website Cosmic Marmalade, The one and only Tom Mc Guinness
On support we have Dj Eluder from Sydney who we had to get back after his whooper vinyl set last year in San Fran. Hipmatic who is no stranger to the Wellington scene will also be spinning along with Emergence Resident Paul Dockery

As one of Auckland’s ‘go to’ underground players for many years, Tom has never compromised on what he does. Whether it’s playing music or running parties, it’s always based around a single ideal: no bullshit.

Tom’s involvement in Auckland based party Flexx. has seen some of the most in demand & forward thinking Producers & DJ’s grace our shores in recent years, with an urgency & direction that has long been rare in NZ.

DJ Eluder
was first introduced to underground warehouse rave parties in Sydney in the early 90's. He instantly fell in love with the underground sounds which came out of Detroit, Frankfurt, Rotterdam and Berlin.
Inspired by some of Sydney's best techno Dj's and international Dj's such as Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Oliver Lieb, Joey Beltram, Sven Vath and Jeff Mills Dj Eluder commenced his career in 1995 and has continued with his passion for Djing with vinyl whilst the world around him has advanced with technology and the digital age.
Dj Eluder has teamed up with old friend and one of Sydney's most influential DJ/producers over the past 20 years: DJ Hi-Shock, these days also known as Advanced Human with hosting the iconic Gynoid Label nights in Sydney with international acts as Truncate, Mary Velo and Jonas Kopp. Dj Eluder exclusively spins vinyl from the Elektrax Music range (owned and managed by Dj Hi-Shock) such labels as Gynoid Audio, Darknet Recordings, Counter Pulse and more. Each live Dj set showcases an individual label therefore the style can range from deep / melodic techno to dark edgy and industrial techno.
Future for Dj Eluder:
Playing at the next Emergence party in New Zealand and returning to Sao Paulo Brazil, Lisbon Portugal, Tokyo Japan and Bogota Colombia.
