  • Very excited and really happy to announce.... Butterfly Effect #4!!!! No nonsense upfront techno party with absolutely no frills. .. Its all about the music.. The techno... Diverse beautiful quality techno! ROOM 1 TECHNO!! ♥ We have none other than... IFORMAT (Joseph McGeechan ) ( Synewave New York // Sleaze Records // Monolith Records ) .. DJ and producer hailing from Scotland originally but now based in Berlin... who will be treating us to a live set.. intense and raw... his first time in London too.. prepare to be stunned and mesmerized.. not for the faint hearted :) ♥ He began his career in 2008 as one half of the BCR Boy they released on their own Backwater Community Recordings label and also on Perc Trax. With further releases on Synewave and Sleaze, 2011 saw them headline both Berlin heavyweights, Berghain and Tresor.Joseph’s new solo project iFormat has a darker, more aggressive, industrial sound. Heavily influenced by the sinister and eerie soundscapes of sci-fi and horror movies, these give a disturbing sense of foreboding to McGeechan’s dystopian, post-punk exploration of the decay of society. Receiving support from a worldwide array of artists such as Moerbeck,Ancient Methods,Northern Structures,Adam X,Xhin,AnD,Norman Nodge,Luke Slater,James Ruskin,Forward Strategy Group to name but a few, and with remixes by Perc,Gary Beck,Audio Injection,K209,Go Hiyama,Sawf,Mike Humphries and most recently an Ancient Methods remix of his “Failed by the conformists” on Prosthetic Pressings, 2012 also saw his iFormat debut album “As the lines break” on Nachtstrom Schallplatten. He has played clubs in different parts of Europe and the UK, aswell as regular appearances in Tresor in the last few years. https://www.facebook.com/pages/IFormat/269329083088978?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/joseph_mcgeechan NEIL BIRNIE (Fnoob Techno) is a die hard vinyl DJ, hailing from Aberdeen, Scotland. A true techno activist who has been buying and playing vinyl since 1992… his sets are always intense, screwy, intricate, solar plexus techno and always up front and non-compromising ♥ In recent years, Neil has played out at the excellent FNOOB TECHNO LIVE parties held at Mains castle Dundee, where I witnessed the carnage on both occasions :) . He also played at Bass Generator in Dundee, Twice at Veb Club Berlin alongside the likes of Joseph McGeechan, Solenoid and Mason Rent. Later in the year he will be playing along side Neil Landstrumm (Tresor) and a few more gigs in London and Cornwall in the summer ♥ Neil has been resident on Fnoob Techno Radio for 4 and a half years and was Wednesday Schedule Manager on Fnoob Techno for about 2 years until August 2014. I can’t wait to see Neil play out again, guaranteed to be moved in many ways ♥ https://soundcloud.com/darkfrequency THE MACHINISTS (Hugh McMahon)(Chunk Recordings // 7th Sign Records // Panel Trax Records // Anecdote Records +++) DJ and producer based in Glasgow... energetic full on sets with an old school feel... Ive had the pleasure of seeing Hugh play out twice at the excellent Fnoob Techno parties in Dundee and he never fails to hit the spot ♥ The Machinists (Hugh McMahon) began DJing back in 89 aged 20 Up until this point and beyond his influences have been wide and varied but always quality; artists such as Johnny Cash through to Jean Michel Jarre, Jeff Mills, Mike Banks, Joy Division, The Velvet Underground and so on. Around 1995 Hugh began to produce his own stuff.. For him there’s no fixed approach to making music, it’s all about having fun and not taking things too seriously. Hughs first release (On 7th Sign Records, South Side EP) back in 2000 was under the name of DJ Pivo, who was short lived by Hugh’s new alias The Machinists; Jerk It was released on 7th sign Records in 2000 also. It was then Hugh decided to take a 9 year break from it all to be a family man (Fair play) Then in 2009 Hugh was back with his first release on Panel Trax followed by a remix in 2012, again under Panel Trax, for Chance mc Dermott, followed in 2013 by a remix for Nyree on Rubber Taxi Records and another release on Panel Trax that year. 2014 saw releases on K-84 Records, Anecdote records and Pentax records. This year saw the release of his Morbid Curiosity EP on Armed Records. The Machinists plays from the heart and the energy infused by his sets is something to behold. Old school raw techno feel with a future edge.. Hugh’s sets just make you wanna dance… butt shaking, energetic, upfront techno. Can’t wait!! ♥ https://www.facebook.com/TheMachinists666?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/the-machinists KENNY CAMPBELL(Fnoob Techno - Industrial Wasteland // General Surgery Records // Rafarta Records) DJ and producer also based in Glasgow.. One thing I love about Kenny is hes not afraid to play whatever he wants be it industrial / acid / new wave / techno and so on even gabber sometimes :D ♥ Glasgow based DJ Kenny Campbell is rapidly gaining a reputation for his talents playing tech music. Possibly the most versatile and technically talented DJ we've come across, able to play a set seamlessly, combining a variety of different styles, with ease. Be it techno, industrial, acid, jungle or hardcore, he'll play it, if the time is right, and the crowd wants it. Some of Kenny's bookings include OM96, Berlin; Red Bull Music Academy Afterparty; Studio 24, Edinburgh; King Haakon, Isle of Skye. Oh, and we hear he likes an after party or two... PAST: From a very young age Kenny has had a keen interest in electronic music. This interest was to become a life long passion upon hearing Mescalinum United's 'We Have Arrived'. This track triggered something. The track was darker than anything Kenny had heard before. It had drive and bite. It was to become the track that made Kenny decide that DJing would be the path he would follow. Heavily influenced by the harder techno sounds of the early Nineties and the second wave of Detroit techno, Kenny began hammering underground clubs and free parties into submission. His style became more twisted, more extreme. Hardcore was dominant in the underground but it wasn't enough for Kenny. He wanted it harder still. More importantly though, he wanted it to be techno. As time progressed Kenny moved away from the hardcore scene in general and back to his roots. Techno is what he wanted and it was techno he was going to have. Taking inspiration from artists like FUSE, Speedy J and Plastikman, Kenny was more determined than ever to succeed within the techno scene PRESENT: After a brief flirtation with minimal and house, Kenny came back towards his roots, and picked up harder techno again. There was a fresh take on the early 90’s sounds and it fitted perfectly with his ethos on music. Hard, brash kick drums and percussion. Acid line and screeches. Everything he needed was there. His production output has also increased recently with releases on several labels including Rafarta Records and General Surgy records, as well as his own Industrial Wasteland Records. This, along with a regular show, Industrial Wasteland, on the revered Fnoob Techno Radio, has invigorated Kenny again. FUTURE: With regular bookings at both home and abroad the future for Kenny can only get better. As the technology he has embraced becomes more powerful so do his performances. Behind the blinking lights from a host of controllers Kenny now conducts the dancefloor in the way only he can. No one is left disappointed when Kenny is in control. https://www.facebook.com/industrialwastelandrecords?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/kenny_campbell KYLE ARNOLD (Fnoob Techno) DJ based in Edinburgh... Kyle is really diverse... comfortable playing more deep / rolling techno as well as being able to smash it the f**k out of it when he wants :D ♥ He started mixing records at 19 in 2005. Kyle then decided to go to college and he got himself a diploma in creative sound design in 2011. Kyle was a resident DJ at club 1086 in Edinburgh for 4 years between 2010 -2014 and played alongside the likes of Mike Humphries and Dave the Drummer. For the last 3 years Kyle has been a resident at Fnoob Techno Radio and Sunday Schedule Manager for over a year. https://soundcloud.com/kylearnold ROOM 2 ~ Playing specially selected deep techno // electro // breaks // dub techno...
