- Daytime Event (6pm–3am) RSVP/Location: [email protected] After an emotional month-long series of parties for our 9th anniversary, BlkMarket Membership returns to the usual business of bringing unusual and innovative talent to New York with a diverse lineup featuring live sets from Lake People and Leo Leal alongside DJ sets from 3LIAS and residents Taimur and Fahad. Lake People is Martin Enke, a Leipzig-based producer whose discography stretches back to 2003 under his well-known IDM alias Trickfinger. Lake People is a relatively newer project, begun in 2011 and rising to note on Guy Gerber’s Rumors label and Permanent Vacation, where he dropped the debut album this year. Enke’s sound is well-informed by his long production history stretching back over a decade, so we expect an impressively full and deep live set from him as the headliner for this event. Leo Leal is head of the Unike label, a NYC-Mexico connection that has so far developed a consistent and full sound based around producers like Markus Homm and Carlos Sanchez. Leo’s hard work has paid off and earned him releases on John Digweed's legendary Bedrock imprint and Deib Audio, with DJ support from names like Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Laurent Garnier, Dixon and more. Coming through with a live set for this event, we expect great things from this rising talent. A resident and music director for the past 10 years at the amazing B018 club in Beirut, built in a former bomb shelter, 3LIAS brought Taimur to Beirut for an inspiring night, and now BlkMarket Membership makes his New York debut in similarly inspiring company. Residents Taimur & Fahad will be the masters of ceremonies, with the momentum of the anniversary celebrations pushing strongly still for what is sure to be another night of enduring memories.
