- Following on the heals of the Spring Bash last month, NYC's LIFE monthly will return this April 24, 2015, just in time to break the matzoh, pour the Manischewitz and cast away the slave-drivers of boredom and mediocrity for another evening of uncompromising dance music and unrestrained revelry. And thus we march forward into the promised land, a devoted club culture as exercised within the confines of Greenpoint's Good Room, taking place at the hands of some of the most devout and life-long adherents of the "third path" in dance music. Refusing to pledge allegiance to any set musical ideologies, LIFE residents Francis Englehardt and Paul Nickerson will feature the finest cultivations of the electronic cannon with a predilection for the funky, visionary, bizarre and unpredictable---never loosing sight of the nature of these parties: creating an atmosphere conducive to that evasive happiness and community lost in the exhaustions of so many eight-hour days and intolerable workweeks. Tended to with the love and care of the extended Dope Jams family, this April's LIFE will be another night of unchecked catharsis through the now familiar LIFE tenants of self-release and revelation, a simple act of social intersection at the cross-points of dance culture, DIY self-determination, warehouse-party grit and ambitious social experimentation. For those of you who already know, come for the party you've come to know and expect; for those who haven't yet made it to the doors of 98 Meserole Ave., LIFE is not to be missed.
