Charlie & Eli - better known to the rest of the world as Soul Clap - have always proudly repped their hometown of Boston. They were regulars at RISE many moons ago as resident DJs for our Radioland parties, welcoming guests like Konrad Black, D'Julz, and Claude VonStroke to the booth at 306 Stuart St. They also threw the first Dancing on the Charles parties in Cambridge, now an outdoor summer institution for our city.
In the years since, Soul Clap have taken their house & disco-fused sound to the next level, garnering worldwide support from industry luminaries and fans alike. The list of accomplishments is lengthy, including headlining sets in most places where people dance, an Essential Mix in 2011, studio collaborations with Louie Vega, Robert Owens, and George Clinton, and on and on. It’s always nice when the home team wins, and we’re happy to welcome Soul Clap back for one more night at RISE.
Warming up the room for the boys is their longtime friend, label mate, and partner in crime Tanner Ross. Tanner is a veritable beast in his own right, a Berklee grad who has worked tirelessly over the years to craft beautifully composed and engineered tracks that truly stand out from the rest. We’re happy that Tanner’s touring schedule will allow him to be a part of this celebration.
Rounding out the party in the lounge are Chas Bronz, D-Lux, and The WIG… three artists who each share their own unique connections to both Soul Clap and to RISE. As producers and DJs, they know what to do and they do it well. This will be a night we won’t soon forget.
