- We're quickly coming to the conclusion that the boat is the perfect location for a full on discothon so we're back with the third instalment of the Reade St Boat Party! Before there was House there was DISCO! Before there was Deep, Tech, Electro, Progressive even before there was Acid there was DISCO! Reade St is a Disco inspired party paying homage to nightclub scene in the late 70's and 80's New York. DJs like Larry Levan, Nicky Siano, David Mancuso, Francis Grasso, @Francios Kevorkian, Tony Humphries and clubs/Events such as the Paradise Garage, Danceteria, The Sanctuary, The Loft and Zanzibar. All of these clubs were a prototype to what we experience today in sound, lighting and atmosphere. The Hacienda in Manchester and The Ministry Of Sound in London are both direct results of experiences found in New York at this time. For the third instalment of the Reade St Boat Party we have the Cuts Above duo Jonny Thornhill and Danny Kwang giving us their take on all things Disco. Cuts Above celebrates the roots of house music! Playing select cuts from and inspired by the Disco, soul and funk of New York and Chicago to the raw 313 sound of Detroit, from the classic disco of the Paradise Garage to the new purveyors of quality disco infused house. We also have the return of the Dubai Disco Don and our resident DJ Conan Liquid, his pedigree cannot be questions and his sets must be danced to. The info: We'll be setting sail from Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa at 1.30pm at the very latest. We can all get on the boat from 1pm so aim to get there at 1pm and you wont miss the boat.
