Danny Tenaglia is a living legend. He is the DJ's DJ, and the exact type of artist that RISE was built for. We can't imagine a more fitting way to say goodbye than with you all, dancing to the sounds of DT.
The Brooklyn born-and-based DJ/producer boasts a list of accolades that speak to his impact on the history of dance music. As a producer, "Elements" and his collaborations with Celeda on "Music Is The Answer" and "Be Yourself" will forever be classics. As a remixer, he was nominated for a Grammy for his interpretation of Depeche Mode's "I Feel Loved." His contributions to the venerable Global Underground mix series, as well as his own studio mixes like Tourism and Futurism, are aural timestamps for some of the most exciting periods of house and techno.
Danny’s magic is best experienced on the dance floor. The Paradise Garage and Larry Levan provided early inspiration, later delivered by Danny himself to legions of dedicated fans on New York’s most famed dance floors - Roxy, Twilo, Tunnel, and Vinyl/Arc. In the years since, he’s taken his music around the world and back again to New York with regular appearances at Pacha and Output. The art of programming - which records to play, and in what order - is a craft expressed by few in as emotional and compelling a fashion as Danny Tenaglia. The marathon set, at least 5 hours, is where his story is best experienced.
