The first in a series of events celebrating collaboration, creativity and cut-ups, Collage intends to take you on a journey to the gateway of the realm of dreams, featuring limited print launches of original artworks and an audio soundtrack of diverse sounds, inspired along a unifying theme.
“I call it a collage. For people unfamiliar to sampling and its history and how it evolved, I think that's the best way to explain it. It's taking little pieces from here, adding it to little pieces from there, as many different disparate elements as you can find, and making something totally new out of it.”

Born from a love of eclectic sounds and imagery, residents Raj Pannu, Bert Verso and D.A.V.E. present their own take on each events theme, delving into substantial audio archives to paint an auspicious audioscape to accompany brand new collaborative and original artworks.
Each growing up through the global hip-hop evolution, the Collage DJs share a hunger for the scenes diet of digging for the rare and hunting for the new, juxtaposing genres, always taking the listener on a winding road, sharing sounds and rhythms. This isn’t rap music, but true Hip-Hop, where electronics bump with funk, and jazz has a dance over house patterns, ears and asses are eager to be surprised by the next bewildering sounds.
Raj Pannu – one of the regions most respected DJs, from turn-table trickery, to his residency for the much adored Traveller Clubnight, to touring the globe with groundbreaking pioneers Coldcut and AV deconstuctions of Old Grey Whistle Test footage, Raj continually delivers.
Bert Verso – DJ, beat producer, live musician and collage king, Verso, whether arranging forms and pushing buttons for live Geordie electronic super-group The Grey Tapes, or woo-ing ears with his stylish audio excursions, is guaranteed to get you grinning.
D.A.V.E. - Along with Raj, D.A.V.E. was one of the helmsmen for Traveller, has held residencies in just about every decent bar in town and was one of the original founding fathers of the Ghetto Method Crew of urban art pirates.
