Human Pause presents Esotericism W/ Shifted
La notion d’ésotérisme se rapporte fondamentalement à un pèlerinage intérieur. Art de l’occulte, cette cognition au langage caché, alliant lumière et obscurité, se transmet par les initiés sachant lire entre les lignes…
Symbiose des éléments de l’esprit, et de la perception intérieure par l’écho du lac de l’inconscient, c'est à la recherche de support universel, vu comme la trame de fond sur laquelle repose l’en déça, que se lance ces praticiens des profondeurs.
L’ésotérisme n'appartient à aucune castre philosophique, mais utilise indirectement tout les préceptes de celles-ci. Suivant le fil d’ariane, ce concept perçois dans l’éternelle dualité, une formation pyramidale de l’esprit; faire de la ligne dualiste un cercle, représentant et garant de l’éternité.
Son esthétique alchimique, transformant la réalité en métaphore poétique est symbolique pour les uns et pourtant perçue ordinairement par les autres.
Pour clore le loop annuel, ce dernier chapitre est préparé avec soin par l'équipe Human Pause, avec comme invité principal :
- Shifted (Avian, Mote-Evolver, Our Circula Sound, Bed of nails)
Shifted est un producteur aux multiples facettes que l'on ne présente plus. En seulement quelques années depuis ses premières productions sur le label de Luke Slater, Mote-Evolver, l'artiste britannique a su développer une voix distincte et authentique au sein de la techno.
Peu de temps après ses débuts en 2011, il créa en outre le label Avian en compagnie de son compatriote Ventress, une expérience à travers laquelle il se concentra sur un aspect plus distordu et texturisé de la musique électronique. S'en suivirent d'autres sorties sur Our Circula sound; sur le sous-label de Frozen Border, Naked index ou encore pour son projet Pacific Blue avec un Ep unique en son genre.
En 2012, non seulement Shifted réussit à séduire la scène Berlinoise, mais il produit également le LP qui le transportera du statut de nouvel-arrivant à celui d'un artiste respecté avec une sensibilité tenace pour les sons insolites.
Plus tard, il créa le sous-label Mira, afin d'explorer des penchants plus ésotériques et expérimentaux de la techno, tentant d'inclure des sonorités plus industrielles.
Poursuivant tout de même ses productions personnelles, il lança le projet Covered in Sand, débutant sur Mira en 2013 et que FACT Magazine inclut dans son « Greatest 10 Records of all time. »
Au cours de l'année 2014, Shifted continua de développer ses divers travaux de productions, pendant que les multiples labels qu'il a sous son aile, ont eux, continués à favoriser l'émergence de nombreux talents.
L’instant risque d'être frénétique et déchaîné, afin de vivre un moment d’introspection exaltée et de patienter ensemble dans les nuages jusqu’en septembre pour un retour sensuel, âme sensible ne surtout pas s’abstenir !

Esotericism signifies the holding of esoteric opinions or beliefs, that is, ideas preserved or understood by a small group of those specially initiated, or of rare or unusual interest. The term derives from the Greek, either from the comparative ἐσώτερος (esôteros), "inner", or from its derived adjective ἐσωτερικός (esôterikos), "pertaining to the innermost".
The notion of esotericism fundamentally relates to an inner pilgrimage, to the art of the occult. It constitutes this cognition of hidden languages, that ally light, obscurity and that which is reserved to those few initiated who can read between the lines. Esotericism is an almost alchemical aesthetic, changing the banal perception of reality that some have through the use of poetic and symbolic metaphors. Allying the elements of the soul to those of the inner perception by the listening to the echoes of the lake of the unconscious. This has become the seeking of truth, or of the universal support, seen as the weft on which rests the world as we perceived it, that is searched by the practitioners of its depth. By belonging to no political and religious casts, but by using all those which precedes their research in the continuation of Ariane's yarn, these practitioners perceived in the eternal duality that exists between opposition and complementarity, a pyramidal formation of the spirit, that allowed them to make of this duality, a circle, standing as the warrantor of the eternal renewal.
For the last step of this year's circle, the loop will end with a strong taste. This year's last chapter is a magic potion, neatly prepared by Human Pause's druids and where the main ingredient is no other than:

Shifted is a producer with many faces. In just a few years since his first release on Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver imprint, the UK artist successfully managed to develop his own distinctive voice within the constantly evolving techno genre. Soon after his 2011 debut he set up the Avian imprint together with fellow UK producer Ventress – an outlet bringing focus to a more stripped back and textured side of British techno. Releases on Sigha’s Our Circula Sound imprint and the Frozen Border sub-label Naked Index soon followed, as well as a one-off self-released EP for his more dance floor focussed project Pacific Blue.
2012 saw Shifted not only making his move from the UK to Berlin, but also releasing his extremely well received debut LP on Mote-Evolver: “A stunning debut album in Crossed Paths, which shows Shifted making the final move from newcomer soundalike towards a respected name with a fierce sensibility for unique sound design.” (Resident Advisor)
In addition he set up the Avian sub-label Mira to explore the more esoteric and experimental side of techno, drone, noise and industrial. Taking this turn in his own productions as well, he started the Covered in Sand project, which debuted on Mira in 2013 and was included in FACT magazine’s greatest 10’’ records of all time.
2014 sees Shifted continuing to develop these many strands of his musical output, while the multiple labels under his stewardship continue to give an outlet to talent from across the duskier side of the electronic music spectrum.
This time will be wild and frenetic and Shifted will be there with us to make you live a moment of exalted introspection, to make you wait until September for a very sensual return, sensitive soul, do not restrain !
