- HORST is an arts & music festival championing a diverse and broad spectrum of electronic musicians, visual artists and young creatives in a stunning castle surrounded by water and woods. In 2014 HORST set foot with a sold out debut edition. 2015 will bring a well-selected collage of 40 (inter)national artists. You can expect more art, more music and more people without compromising the feel and identity of the festival. This year HORST programs two equal stages with a variety of adventurous, leftfield names in electronic music. The castle will see significant more arts integrated in its surroundings. The two-day festival counts as the opening ceremony for a two-month exposition in public space afterwards. Artistic curators of the festival are architect duo GijsVanVaerenbergh. Their selection of work consists of site-specific scenographic interventions, installations and constructions which will generate interaction with the environment of the castle and the festival visitors. GijsVanVaerenbergh will transform HORST into an architectural playground where artists, musicians and audience meet, dance and engage with one another.
