It is with profound disappointment that we are forced to announce that KOBOSIL will not be joining us this Saturday at Machine/Silo. His management Ostgut Bookings have informed us that Kobosil has contracted an as yet unidentified illness that resembles glandular fever. As a result medical advice suggests long haul flights are out of the question, which rules the Australia/New Zealand tour out. This announcement comes after considerable effort and cost has been invested in the tour, so, not only is this disappointing from an entertainment perspective, it is also fiscally fucked.
Nevertheless we (Machine and Silo) have resolved to come together under our mutual banner and provide a quality night nonetheless, and we're going all out local with Andrew Till, Dave Mummary and Simon Slieker, plus the special addition of Emmymaie.
Emmymaie has been quickly rising through the ranks after performances for Silo and Machine at BBB at Rainbow Serpent. She is pint sized, but packs a fair whallop. Coming with a vast background of musical and vocal training, having formed part of renowned accapella group (Nude Rain), she has turned to the dark arts and now conjures something special from the techno sphere in which we reside. Her sets are compelling and intricate. She will be opening the night this week and laying the foundation of 10-12 and we really urge you to make it for this portion.
As usual, the onset of disaster gives rise to opportunity and renewal and it's with this perspective that we roll on. We sincerely hope you will join us for what remains a unique joint party experience. Prices have been adjusted accordingly with $10 before midnight, $15 after being the order of the day. "Due to health problems last week i had to cancel my set at ctm and my regular berghain slot. unfortunately i also can't fly to australia and new zealand this week. i was really looking forward to visit down under. the good news - i start feeling better but a long distance flight is not possible as i'm not 100% recovered and am undergoing further medical treatment. we hope to reschedule these gigs soon."
