CLAUDE VON STROKE - USA (dirtybird)
The idea for dirtybird began in 2003 when Barclay was producing an intense 5 hour DVD about electronic music called, ‘Intellect’. San Francisco newcomer, Justin Martin was hired by Crenshaw to help make house music for the DVD. Barclay quickly recognized Justin's talent and took on a role as his manager, negotiating his first deals with Buzzin'fly, Classic, and Utensil Recordings. The ‘Intellect’ project was a labor of love for Crenshaw, taking almost 2 years to make and starring over 35 top producers and legendary DJs such as Derrick May, Swayzak, Derrick Carter, Deep Dish, Paul Van Dyk, Theo Parish, and many more. The main goal of the ‘Intellect’ project was to make an informative dvd that could help DJs advance their careers in electronic music. The result was Crenshaw himself starting dirtybird records with Justin and a production career under the quirky alias, Claude VonStroke. Claude always takes time to find the tracks that mean something. Tricky sound effects, nasty bass, inspiring melodies, and up front originals make for a completely original experience that is not to be missed.
CHRISTIAN MARTIN - USA (dirtybird)
Christian Martin's love affair with electronic music began in 1995, as an early attendee at Southern California's legendary Moontribe full moon desert parties. Along with Christian's residency at dirtybird's monthly club nights in SF and New York, he's been busy in the studio, polishing multiple remixes and originals coming out on dirtybird & Katabatic records. 2008 looks to be busier than ever for Christian as he helps shape the future of dirtybird's unique sound.

After cementing their production reputation with remixes for Tiefschwarz, and Soulwax the boys became regulars at Fabric, Bugged Out and across Europe. Their debut solo release “Acarpenter” came out on the Bugged Out label last year to rave reviews. Andrew Weatherall, Optimo and James Murphy all caned it. In fact Murphy, The LCD Sound Sytem / DFA main man, liked it so much he decided to license it for a re-release on DFA records adding a stunning Joakim remix on the B- Side. HOT
UNABOMBERS - UK (Electric Chair)
As much as a Manchester institution as the dirty Reds, Boddingtons, Tony Wilson and the Hac, Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford are responsible for Manchester's longest running and most respected club night The Electric Chair. Although after 13 years they have called it a night for the regular parties, they can still be found at the bi-monthly Electric Chair Saved My Life, performing as a band as The Elektrons, and now on the top deck of Yacht Club 002.
