- Sublimate and Ruse Laboratories proudly present a true legend of house music for our first ever July 4th bash. Chez Damier can be considered a godfather of house music and the man has played close witness to many of the pivotal moments in the history of house and techno. Join us for rooftop jams, good ol’ American BBQ, and live performances starting at 5PM, all seguing into a beautiful view of the fireworks that evening. When the smoke clears we’ll move inside for an intimate night of dancing. We’ve gone the extra mile to bring you the best sound system that Chez will slam to move your body and shake your soul while staying easy on those ears. We are doing it up right and proper, Sublimate style, to bring ya’ll a full daytime - nighttime party that you won’t soon forget. Also joining us are good friends Soul 2 Seoul, their Basement Floor imprint and long running festivus keep these hard working DJs in demand for their booty shaking grooves. For those interested in some of the history: Chez Damier is jointly responsible with studio partner Ron Trent for both Prescription Records - widely recognised as one of the greatest house labels of all time - and ‘The Morning Factory’ - the universally adored prototype for loved-up daybreak bliss - Chez Damier is a true deep house pioneer. This Chicago DJ has played pivotal roles in the development of KMS, and the Music Institute, hallowed pieces of musical history that prove his contribution to dance music over the years. As an artist, Chez Damier represents a unique blend; he is as impetuous and daring now as in 1989. After something of a hiatus, a series of releases for the German label Mojuba signalled that he was on his way back to show new artists the way and nowadays he has taken the torch of Prescription by launching Balance Alliance as a home for some of the most forward thinking and talented producers of the next generation to join him on the imprint. Studio partnerships with Parisian Ben Vedren has reignited the production flame under several alias, and so now he is back making his best work once more. A regular around the world from DC10 in Ibiza to Smart Bar Chicago and many more, Chez Damier is a modern house hero.
