Mike Huckaby is presenting a unique set on reel to reel with edited classic tracks by the legendary inovative jazz composer SUN RA.
Sun Ra was one of the pioneers of the afrofuturistic philosophy, claiming that he was one of the 'Angel Race' and not from Earth, but from Saturn. His extensive use of electronic keyboards made him one of the pioneers of electronic music and so-called 'space music,' although his music also touches on the entire history of jazz.
The DJ's will follow with an extended, into the morning light, after-hours session, translating the same Sun Ra vibrations through house, techno, & electronic music.
