Well fret no longer folks—we're teeing up a perfect ten each and every week with Picnic Social on Sundays at Harpoon Harry! From 4pm we’ll be bringing the week-end vibes to the loungey Surry Hills joint courtesy of the finest DJs we know in Sydney and beyond. Drinks a-flowin’, food a-cookin’ (suckling pig served in picnic baskets for one or hampers to share), tunes a-tunin’ and the best pals in town all getting together to enjoy the whole lot. Yay!
We’re going XXL for our launch weekend, June 28th, with the Aussie debut of UK disco master RAY MANG! One of the original disco edit trailblazers in the ‘90s, as well as a producer of loads of gorgeous Balearic flavoured house, his releases on labels like Eskimo, Noid, R&S, DFA and his own Mangled imprint proudly take up big chunks of our record collections and have been a big influence on Picnic since day one. What a treat to finally have him in the country and playing at the launch of our party!
Joining him on deck(s) will be a bunch of our loveliest family members doing it b2b style. Valerie Yum will be kicking off with Leisure Lay, Hubert Clarke Jr. is linking up with Adi Toohey, Steele Bonus is going head to head with Noise In My Head, and Kali will be vibing it with the Boogie Monster. Bloody brilliant!
