Red Bull Music Academy are at it again, delivering yet another killer headliner for their monthly Club Night series, in the form of LA-based beatmaker extraordinaire, Nosaj Thing. For the July edition of the free national series, the US native will play five shows across the country, including an appearance at Splendour In The Grass festival on the Red Bull Music Academy stage. What with the likes of hip hop dons Chance The Rapper, Kendrick Lamar and Future hitting him up to lay down some beats, it’s time to jump on the band wagon and get lost in Nosaj Thing’s enchanting melodies.
Hot off the heels of Nosaj Thing’s third studio album, Fated, the 28 year old DJ and producer is finally back on the scene. Born and raised in LA, Nosaj Thing, aka Jason Fung, has been making waves in glitch-hop circles since the mid ‘00s, but it wasn’t until he dropped highly acclaimed debut album, Drift, in 2009 that he was propelled from the shadowy underground to the forefront of the LA beatscene, topping countless Best Of Year Lists.
Nosaj Thing joins an impressive roster of Red Bull Music Academy’s 2015 Club Night Series party starters, which already boasts the likes of Clark, J ROCC, Taylor McFerrin, Luke Vibert, Kutmah and Onra. With entry being free with RSVP, anyone would be a fool to miss out.
