After our outrageous first birthday back in February, we are back with a veritable feast of Techno quality in the sonically capable space that is Corsica Studios.
First up is Regis, no introduction needed here, but for all those that have lived under a rock for the past 20 years, this guy is possibly the forbidden fruit of Techno. Whether it be as part of British Murder Boys, Sandwell District, Ugandan Methods, O/V/R, or simply flying solo, Karl O'Connor has truly shaped the way Techno has sounded decade on decade. His label Downwards, along with contributions on labels such as Blackest Ever Black and Blueprint(amongst many others) have provided some of the scene's most loved visceral musical moments, and for us, it's a real treat to have him share his energy and vision within the intimate surroundings of Corsica Studios.
Next up is Samuel Kerridge. A true enigma of Techno, and someone who is certainly not afraid to push the boundaries of Electronic music. His Contort parties have personally influenced us heavily on the curation of our own events, and his albums have been some of contemporary Electronic music's finest. A true talent, and someone we're excited to be showcasing at Individual Collective. Sam is bringing his fully live show along, so prepare yourself for some mind-melting and heavy hitting Electronic warfare.
Headless Horseman is back by ever popular demand. We are proud to announce that this will be his exclusive album launch party, just another fine excuse to bring him back with us once more. After first bringing him to the UK in 2014, his live show has developed into something one may deem as monstrous. A true favourite of all, he is someone that packs out the dancefloor each and every time. We've said it before, and we'll say it once more, this really is one of Techno's finest live shows. Just prior to his LP dropping, this is your exclusive chance to hear what is to come from that truly awesome forthcoming release.
Sunil Sharpe is the guy they were all talking about from our last birthday event. Playing in the DSNT room, he tore the roof off, put it back on again, and tore it off once more for good measure. His energetic DJ sets are the stuff of legends, and after the success of his last performance, we had to have him play for us at IC no questions asked. The friendliest guy in Techno, with the gnarliest record box... The best combo in our humble opinion.
Talker are the collective entity of two guys from America who have previously presented music on Regis' Downwards stable, and have contributed some fine remixes recently on equally fine labels such as Horizontal Ground and a forthcoming effort on Billy Allen's Candela Rising. Singularly, they go about their business as Stave and Kalon, releasing some now legendary music on the Repitch, Trensmat, and Sandwell District labels respectively. This is their UK debut, and we'll certainly be the most excited to absorb their stunning live show, first debuted at Berlin Atonal festival. This will be mega, and no doubt will be talked about for some time after.
Residents Billy Allen and Keylen will be in support on the evening, with their 50 shades of versatile Techno sounds.
