Rise 1969 takes his debut set in Radio Beirut, spinning a blend of Trip Hop, Swing, Jazz, Electro & House.
Born in the UK and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, William Mahfoud (a.k.a. Rise 1969) has been taking over the London scene one show at a time. From playing bass in a school 'punk' band to DJing at the legendary Ministry of Sound, he's come a long way for a small time mountain kid.
As Will is currently working hard on his music and other sound art and short film projects, you can currently enjoy the releases already put out on COOH's label 'ABCD', Ogonek's Label 'Metafiziq' and the up-and-coming London label 'ITCHYCOO', with forthcoming tracks on 'Peace Off Records', 'Makorka Recordingss' and 'Din is Noise Records' on the Rise 1969 Soundcloud page.
