  • MARK E Headlining this year’s Melting Pot is our man of the moment, Mark E. He is renowned for his reworks of disco and boogie classics, including a dazzling rework of Bobby Womack “Baby, I’m scared of you” and Tata Vega’s “Get it up for Love”, on the Jiscomusic label. Mark has gone from strength to strength in 2008, producing some of the year’s hottest dance floor tracks, as well as getting to re-release his widely acclaimed re-edit of Janet Jackson’s R&B Junkie. As well as releasing for Jiscomusic, Golf Channel, and Internasjonal he now also appears courtesy of Sonar Kollectiv with his latest release, Based On Misunderstandings 2. Expect house, soul, funk, disco, electroboogie and beyond! Given their influences range from early house and techno, to disco, funk and rock then it's safe to say they'll be bringing the heat with this exclusive live performance on Hogmanay. More info on Deportivo Street Team: http://www.Five20East.com The best of the rest… • Johnny Whoop of Death Disco and Koochy Koo fame also making his Melting Pot debut. • Traxx resident Jamie Thomson whose eclectic taste made him an obvious choice for our NYE bash. • Glasgow record label mogul Paul Cawley, the man who brought Giles Peterson, DJ Shadow, James Lavelle, Cut Chemist, Flying Lotus plus many others over to the Scottish shores plus head honcho of the Fenetik Record label. • Not forgetting our residents Andrew Pirie and Simon Cordiner.
