Festivals only happen once a year, and after making strong impressions last year playing alongside German legends Booka Shade for their debut at BEMF, BlkMarket Membership returns this year to host their own event with perennial favorites Sven Weisemann and Eats Everything. Weisemann has been an underground sensation for a decade now as a mainstay on Fauxpas Musik and Don Williams’ Mojuba label, renown for his effortlessly deep sound and his impressive DJ skills. After a stint running his own Essays label from 2009-2012, the always-prolific producer has been concentrating on his Jouem and Desolate projects, and he recently returned on the influential Dutch techno imprint Delsin under his own name. As impressive as his frequent releases are, it is Sven’s party-rocking DJ style that keeps him in high demand, finding a delicate balance between the searching introspection of his productions, his deep knowledge of the music, and turntablist-level trickery to keep the crowd moving. After making a sweeping entry on the scene in 2011 with a series of releases on Dirtybird and Catz N’Dogz’s Pets label, the larger-than-life Eats Everything has continued to gobble up accolades ever since with his upfront style both behind the decks and in the studio. Converting a series of underground anthems to a globetrotting DJ career and high profile remix work, Eats Everything has powered onwords with reworks of Disclosure, Paperclip People, and Justin Martin, and his J.E.S.u.S DJ supergroup with Seth Troxler, Skream, and Jackmaster has taken festival stages by storm. Appearing again alongside these two always-appreciated talents, resident Fahad and BlkMarket Membership are proud to bring two of their own and the world’s favorites to BEMF as their contribution to the borough-wide celebration.
