RS94109 Benefit Weekend
In May of 2015, RS closed its doors to repair and remodel the space to complete the original vision for the shop, with an improved floor layout, featuring a new coffee bar, office, bathroom, stock area, and counter space. Unfortunately after an intense period of remodeling RS fell short of its budget goals to fully complete the renovation, left without funding for record racks, furniture, listening stations, and a proper DJ booth.
In order to help us achieve our goal of covering the additional costs we are launching a donation campaign and hosting a series of benefit shows over the next six month period. Our first series taking place over the weekend of September 11th-13th, featuring Live PA performances and DJ sets from friends of the shop. Additionally, we plan to provide a live stream for those can't make it in person but wish to donate.
We hope you will take part in helping us complete our vision for the shop as cultural outlet for the independent music community. A big thank you to everyone who has supported RS over the last year and a half, we can’t wait to share the improvements we have made so far.
