As Halloween weekend rolls into London, The Pickle Factory is preparing for a night of heads down quality house and techno with Efdemin, Dorisburg and DJ Richard.
Making his Pickle Factory debut for an altogether more intimate set will be Oval Space regular Efdemin. A Dial Records mainstay who holds a coveted spot on Berghain’s regular roster, his sets are described by Gerd Janson as being “a lecture in tightrope walking: from being lost in reverie, total seriousness, pure delight, wit and frit, reduced house tracks, straight and dry techno”, Efdemin serves it all and more.
He will be joined by Sweden’s Alexander Berg aka Dorisburg, who is one half of Genius of Time, and DJ Richard, founder of the acclaimed New York label White Material and now Dial Records labelmate, having released his debut album Grind on the label earlier this month. A departure from his previous sound, Grind is a pared back, brooding and at times eerie LP, inspired in part by the sense of displacement he felt moving from Rhode Island to Berlin.
