Dutch house veteran Matthew Dekay makes a rare London appearance on 6th November, playing a special all night long set at The Pickle Factory.
Matthew has been a central figure in the European underground scene for over fifteen years. Having learnt his craft growing up in Haarlem in the Netherlands during the 90s, Dekay relocated to Berlin in 2009, and together with frequent collaborator Lee Burridge, released ‘Wongel’ EP on Cecille Records to warm critical acclaim.
Matthew hasn't looked back since: his label All Day I Dream launched in 2011 with a series of sell-out parties in Brooklyn; while solo releases for Maeve, Aras and Innervisions have seen global plays and rave reviews. As a DJ, Dekay is the definition of a ‘reliable old hand’. He’s played all over the world since his residency in Haarlem’s Stalker club during the early 2000s, and his 2004 BBC Essential mix still stands as a paragon of sophisticated club music set to podcast form.
