  • #NoFiler in collaboration with RollingTUFF & INMO present NC-21 RSVP: [email protected] On September 26th 1990, The Motion Picture Association of America creates a new NC-17 rating to keep kids away from movies that weren't suited for their young eyes... fast forward exactly 25 years later and Voila... the birth of NC-21... an effort to keep amateurs out of the party... For this inaugural event we bring you some sophisticated tunes that will surely have you dancing the night away... Patrick Topping In the short space of two years, Patrick Topping has become one of the most in demand names in dance music. Having secured 3 Beatport number 1’s in the Tech-House chart with ‘Get Beasty’, ‘Forget’ and his collaboration with Green Velvet on ‘Voicemail’, Patrick’s accolades also count two DJ Awards for ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Track Of The Season’ for ‘Forget’, as well as DJ Mag’s ‘Best Tune’ in their Best of British Awards – topped off by debuting at #80 in Resident Advisor’s Top 100 DJs poll. Renowned for his ability to craft infectious, dancefloor-ready rhythms that first saw him championed by Hot Creations label boss Jamie Jones, Patrick recently capped a stunning two-year rise to fame off with a debut Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 - almost a year to the day after being hailed one of Pete Tong’s ‘Future Stars’ in 2014 and exactly 2 years after his debut release. At 26 years old, Patrick first built a DJ career around playing at his own popular club night, ‘Motion’ at Digital Newcastle where he booked and played alongside some of the biggest names in the business. First coming to the dance world’s attention with critically-acclaimed debut EP ‘Walk On’ via Hot Trax in 2013 - followed by equally successful follow up EP ‘Any Amounts’ on Hot Creations - Patrick’s rise has been nothing short of exponential. Fast-forward to 2014 and the subsequent releases of ‘Get Beasty’, the ubiquitous ‘Forget’, and ‘Voicemail’ – and Patrick has also smashed his Ibiza debut at DC10 for the hugely successful Paradise event alongside the likes of Richy Ahmed, Infinity Ink and wAFF. With plans to return in 2015, Patrick’s far-reaching appeal has also seen him complete tours of the US, Australia and Europe as well as appearances at major international festivals such as Glastonbury, Parklife, Hideout, Tomorrowland in Brazil and Movement in Detroit. With his productions being championed by Pete Tong and Annie Mac on their legendary BBC radio 1 shows, Patrick’s productions have an effortless swagger when it comes to working the dancefloor. Knowing exactly how to work a crowd and making a name for himself with his extremely infectious basslines and dancefloor weapons, he’s since delivered remixes for Cuartero & wAFF’s ‘Break a Sweat’ on Matthias Tanzmann's highly respected Moon Harbour label, as well as releasing via Defected, VIVa MUSiC, Avotre and Circus Recordings. He shows no signs of letting up either, with another EP release on his home label Hot Creations in the pipeline, as well as a remix via Coyu’s tastemaking Suara imprint – proving Patrick is perfectly placed to enjoy another landmark year in 2015. Andhim It was spring 2010 when the cologne natives decided to kick their ass into gear and get out of their Studio to bring their beats to the world. Less than 12 months later Andhim were voted in the top-ten German newcomers of Groove and Raveline Magazine and their records were found in the cases and remix-wishes of many unknown and famous DJ’s alike. Their sound, which they self describe as “Super House” has become its very own genre built from their soul and passion. Andhim’s unique sound, party proven and of reduced nature, is organic with an emphasis in the finer detail. The boys grassroots flow from Hip-Hop, and they work mainly with samples which makes their tracks one of a kind. This individuality has earned them a home with Labels such as Monaberry, Terminal M, Sunset Handjob or Get Physical. When performing live one can really feel the full commitment and passion of the boys.Energetic, creative and always entertaining, they present their very own interpretation of electronic dance music that makes dads cheer and mums scream. The boys see the record player as their instrument, which they use to create new sound worlds, which separates them from the standard reproductive character of a DJ. Their musical talent and knowledge of technique comes from their musical resume: When other kids were playing at the pool eating French fries on their summer holidays, 16 year old Simon was scratching with several jazz-musicians through Europe. When he was 20 he became known as Simon² tempted to electronic music. Similarly, but on different level, Tobias developed in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. As part of the Turntable-Crew “Noisy-Stylus” he became a multiple ITF- and DMC-Champion and influenced the Turntablism scene of the time with Noisy-Stylus in their own Battlebreakrecords and album “Table Manners”. The final chapter was at a Bavarian sausage-eating contest, facing each other in the final round covered from head to toe in sausage. They immediately knew what to do and founded the Boy band “Andhim”. Just a logical progression! After massive gigs through Europe, North America and Asia, the boys continuously work on their sound and development in an effort to explore new worlds of sound. With strong support from many Artists and Labels of the scene they are looking forward to the future with optimism and are excited to make the people of the world dance, smile and go crazy! Out Of Hand It wasn't until 2014 they started to hone in on a unique sound, working in sync with their longtime friend, firey vixen, and Hot Natured frontwoman Anabel Englund and veteran house/disco producer Human Life. Matt and Alex’s individual stylistic motives draw on the most disparate elements of our world of sensory experience to approximate a web of congruence. In under a year the two have DJ'd alongside some of the best names in electronic music such as Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles, Seth Troxler, and Danny Daze. Out Of Hand stands out as a walking contradiction--a flash of color in a forest of darkness, a cold glint of steel in an ocean of sensation.
